The battle of Red Axe Pass took(takes) place after one of the forays in Naggaroth. A High Elf army has penertrated far inland in order to attack and destroy numerous Dark Elf strongholds isolated in the south-east corner of Naggaroth. These attacks were intended to distract Dark Elf Warlords from harrying the northern coast of Ulthuan, but the leader of the force, Prince Tallanquine succumbed to a magical wound. Anaryll, the second in command decided to retreat. Informed by his scouts that the Dark Elves, Anaryll thought about detouring to Red Axe Pass to get out of the Dark Elf trap. The Red Axe is in the centre of Goblin territory. With the Dark Elf trap set and ready to spring the trap, Anaryll decided to brave the goblins. Goblin sentries on the crags spotted the elf column before long and informed their Warlord Gorrfabg Ratbreath. He mustered his forces for an ambush. A weary, therefore vulnerable column of elves was travelling through his territory and he knew it was to good a opportunity to miss.
The game is played on a 6 foot by 4 foot table. with many hills and trees, a river towards on end with a single bridge. The High Elf general can deploy his men in a line along the centre of the table(longwise), the Goblin general may deploy his troops 16" in from the edges and automatically have first turn to show that they are ambushing. If goblin troops are deployed in the woods, they do not have to be shown to the high elf commander, if so they are sketched on to a rough map.
