The War Crown of Saphery
The War Crown was forged by the awesome Mage Lords of Saphery in the time of the first incursions of Chaos It empowers its wearer with all the knowledge of magic gleaned by the High Elves over their thousands of years of study, raising him beyond the power of any other mortal wizard.

Flagur was forged from the bones and blood of a dead High Elven Dragon mixed with a dead Dark elf dragon, the sword which has a mind of it's own hates the Dark Elves for what they did to the evil half of itself and draws on the power of all high elven gods when facing dark elves.
Flagur is a longsword that is plus two hit, makes
an automatic wound against light armour and
heavy armour effectiveness is cut in half when
versing dark elves automatically hits,
a +6 save and does D4 wounds.

Sceptre of Tortured Souls
The Scepter of Tortured Souls Years ago, the archmage, Van Maren, created a scepter. This scepter was enchanted with the powers of pure evil. He used this Scepter to take the lives of innocent victims as he grew stronger. After time the Gods of Chaos used their powers to turn this scepter into a more dangerous, stronger item. This power corrupted the archmage and eventually consumed him. During the shooting phase, the bearer may select an individual that is in sight. The target and the bearer both sustain seperate d6 strength hits of the bearer's strength. Only magic armour can save for this type of damage. 75 points
Combinations
- Get a High Elf hero give him Tasliman of Hoeth making him a Lvl. 2 Mage, and war crown of Saphery making him a level 3 mage. Giving you a high level mage that is a good fighter for only 314 points.
- Ruby Chalice &Cursed Book- Result: After the first wound, enemy units are -2 to hit in HtH(if within 6" of book) and -2 to shoot at range.
- Frenzied Khorne Lord with Chaos Tomb Blade &other character with Chalice of Fate. After General is engaged, roll to try and reduce the magic cards dealt. Result: Chaos army will have lion's share of cards in magic phase. Note: This may be illeagal. Possible that the Tomb Blade only gleans magic cards for the user, not the army.
- Sorcerer Champion with Chalice of Chaos and Chaos Familiar. State you are adding +1 to the roll and roll every magic phase. You have a 1/3 chance of shutting down the magic phase, and will always gain some benefit.
- Sorcerer Champion (minimum) with Skull Staff and Ring of Corin. Mount on disk or steed of Slaanesh for mobility. Result: See magic items and spells within 12" and kill one every magic phase. If you're lucky.
- Gaze of Slaanesh &Parrying Blade- Result: All models in contact lose 1 attack, 1 model loses two.
- Battle Fury of Khorne, Blade of Ensorcelled Iron -Result: Khorne Lord makes 14 attacks when charging, hits on 2+ for each. If you don't want to gamble, use Blade of Darting Steel (75 points) and hit every time.
- Helm of Many Eyes &Two handed weapon- Result: +2 S always strike first
- Staff of Nurgle &Boots of Flight Result: The flying assassin. Be careful of rebounds.
- Lifestone of Ashraz &Black Amulet Result: High attack frenzied enemys kill themselves
- Book of Ashur &Warpstone Charm (well, Chaos and Skaven can do this anyway) Result: Use charm to retake and pass book roll as required. BoA with no risk, for only 10 points more.
- Flail of Skulls Result: First turn attacks are +2 S.
- Cursed Book, and the Cloud of Flies, regeneration or iron hard skin...most would need a six to hit (due to the Chaos Lords high WS + book + cloud), and the hits that do get through would struggle to get through the higher toughness, and then the regeneration or iron hard skin...
- Blade of Leaping Gold (+3Attacks) and Amulet of Power (+2Strength). This combo is especially deadly when given to a lord class character that can frenzy, for example, a Savage Orc War Boss. The combo is effective against both RnF and characters.
- Sorcerer lord with black amulet, regeneration, skull staff and ring of corin on a disc of tzeentch.
- Chaos lord with the chaos runeshield, golden helm, and frost blade
- Helm of many eyes,Black axe of krell
- Helm of many eyes, Executioners axe
- Chalice of Chaos, Chaos Familiar, Warpstone Charm, Fortune of Tzeentch
- Chalice of Darkness, Chaos familiar, Warpstone Charm, Amber Amulet
- Crown of sorcery + book of Ashur (+forbidden staff if you need) = all spells+lvl4 to any character ( better choose a strong one to have the absolute mage with strong chars and magic)
- Goblin wolf rider hero with Heart of Woe, at 62 points a mobile bomb.
- A level 4 mage with book of asure,skull staff- 2+ dispel against lvl.4
- Whip of Agony, Allure of Slaanesh, Executioner's Axe. This is a fun combo. Two Ld checks, one at 3d6, he's bound to fail one of them, and then, BOOM, off with his head.
- Hero with a spear in second rank. Items sword of fortitude and crown of command. Ain't sure about the names. But immune to fear, terror and panic. Also has a leadership of 10 allways. Good in High Elf sea guards.
- Blade of darting steel & strenght potion carried by a savage orc warlord in a unit savage orc boar boyz accompanied by a forest goblin battle standard bearer with spider banner (double attacks first round of combat). 16 automatic str 7 hits battle banner and shrieking blade in a large regiment. The banner makes sure you win your combats and large numbers and fear cause them to run amber amulet with forbidden rod. (you don't need that total power card)
- Staff of nurgle,cloak of mist and shadows,sword of unholypower
- Black gem of Gnarr, fortune of tzeentch on disc, forbidden rod and jade amulet ( slann mage lord )
- Deamonslayingsword and Golden Crown of Atrazar and Black Amulet
- When fielding Chaos Cavalry, make sure it's allegeince is to Tzeentch. That way, when the enemy wizard tries to punk the unit with magic, your Tzeentch hero gets a 4+ magic save.(What the hell does this have to do with magic item combos.!!! Anyway I was asked to place it here, so here it is.)
- A battle standard of Khorne on an Emperor Dragon... The dragon gets 18 Attacks and the khorne dude 8
- A Khorne General With Battlefury of Khorne And hellfire sword against an gobbo army.
- A mummy tomb king with blessed sword & mummy tomb kings crown - all undeads within 12 " has a ws of 10.
- A skink shaman riding a terradon carrying lifestone of ashraah & dark mace of death - will kill any character
- Frost blade + potion of strength
- For Skaven Grey Seers, this combination of items has helped me many times. Helm of Atrazar, Warpstone Armour, The Hungry Maw, Sword of Unyielding
- Unit of 15-20 chaos warriors armed with chaos armour a shield and and additional hand weapon, with a champion of Khorne with the talisman of ravensdark [to protect from flying creatures] and a standardbearer with the banner of rage, gives them 6 attacks
- Put your general on a Daemon steed give him a healing potion, helm of many eyes, and a double handed weapon and make him of Khorne and he's unstoppable.
